Here's an excerpt from my latest article in Homeland Security Today's Correspondents Watch:
"One of the biggest concerns for officials involved in border security is the potential for members of terrorist groups to sneak into the United States from Mexico. Elected officials and counterterrorism authorities believe that members of Hezbollah have entered our country this way, and have used this possible security risk as a basis for initiating stronger border security measures. Such statements tend to make headlines, and those headlines tend to shock Americans into thinking the next 9/11 will come from Mexico. The real response to such statements reasonably could be, 'so what?' What many people don’t know is that thousands of people associated with Hezbollah have been quietly making a living in various parts of the United States for a long time, and sending money back to the Middle East to help fund terrorist activities there. The real kicker is that we’re helping them, and have been for quite a while."

Things will get interesting when the IRAN-US war starts up. If you don't live in a slave state get your CCW permit and carry daily.

@anon; what is 'a slave state'? Is this a reference to those states south of the Mason-Dixon line? Or are you describing the day to day condition of a population you have fundamental disagreements with? Or are you making a disparaging reference to particular states in the USA?

@Belton - Relax, LOL! I think he meant a state like Illinois, where it's illegal to carry concealed...like a slave to the federal government or something. I could be wrong, but that's how I took it :).

@Beltonwall A slave is an individual whose natural rights are suppressed (they cannot be taken or nullified), such as the right to property, right to free movement, right to keep the fruits of their labor, and the right to fulfill one's duty to defend themselves and their family by owning/possessing the means of that defense. Governments that suppress the later right through explicit laws, such as Illinois, or through over regulation, such as California or Mexico, make slaves of their populace by denying them the means to fulfill their duties, which is the purpose of rights.
You could also call them Progressive Liberal States. I for one am happy that the enlightened progressives have made themselves easy targets which should draw the coming Persian insurgency away from my locale.

@anon;
You have a unique definition of natural rights.
Your world view is also unique as well.

Thanks again Sylvia for another good article and for the comments, well if you make love to a time clock isn't that being a slave, aren't we all slaves in one way or another, every body serves some body.
I wanted to add to Sylvia's info with http://www.chron.com/opinion/editorials/article/Let-s-not-exaggerate-the-threat-to-Texas-by-drug-2475388.php
"Exaggerated claims about border violence detract from the reality of the threat and the law enforcement work needed to address it." I agree with this.
Slave or not let's not get carried away and just start throwing money at a problem that we don't understand. I thank Sylvia for helping to explain the problem to the slaves.

"every body serves some body."
Whether you serve them willingly or not is the key point.

10-4 superhero on willingly or not, and there are those who just don't seem to know any better [probably my category].

Border violence is getting out of control and could spread over to the U.S. Which it probably already is. Just by crossing, you're assured to be murdered or robbed. U.S should keep a very close eye on Mexico.
