Just a heads up, I may not be posting for a few days or approving comments. I'm currently in Los Angeles (technically Beverly Hills, I suppose) to help the National Geographic Channel promote the falls season of "Border Wars" for the television press. I'm very honored that they would ask me to help them, and I'm super excited to make it as successful session for them as possible. I'll be spending a lot of time over the next few days with NatGeo executives and the other panelists - including series producer Nicholas Stein and reporter Angela Kocherga - and I look forward to writing a blog post about my experience when I get back!
I am a consultant and analyst with eight years of military law enforcement experience, six years of analytical experience covering Latin America, and over four years of analytical experience covering Mexican DTOs and border violence issues. This blog is designed to inform readers about current border violence issues and provide analysis on those issues, as well as detailed focus on specific border topics. By applying my knowledge and experience through this blog, I hope to separate the wheat from the chaff...that is, dispel rumors propagated by sensationalist media reporting, explain in layman's terms what is going on with Mexican TCOs, and most importantly, WHY violence is happening along the US-Mexico border.

Dear Miss Special Agent Longmire,
Thank you for your tireless service for our Nation concerning our National Security. Please forgive my grammer my grandmother. mother and i found out recently sister are the grammer experts...not I....they (she) call me run on Edi, I have no reason why! It must be very tiring lounging at the Beverly Hills poolside Hotel sipping margaritas and eating bon bon's! All seriousness aside. Read your bio and one thing i can deduce....you absolutely head over heels love the color purple! Well join the club! Special Agent, Counter-Intelligence, Geo-data analytical aggregation and assimilation...hmmm. These pursuits i love too! I am very concerned for our country. If we don't care for our boundaries we lose our country. It breaks my heart to know of all the violence and carnage on our southern border and our politician's indifference! But they are our elected Reps and a reflection of our populace. What is the answer? Education? Prayer? Surrender? I have a heart for the Mexican....all people. What does our constitution say about the issue? Do you ever feel like a camel out in the desert alone? A ship out to sea none other around? I love my country! I would die for my country..my German side wouldn't 1/4 but my Irish side mos def 3/4...the math is right? ) If Caesar could build circumvallation during the Siege of Alesia can we secure our Sothern border? When the Federal Gvmnt. fails to act States have the right to secure their border. Well enough fun for one day! I was searching for a prophecy about the War for the borders will look later. Thank you for your work and love for our nation it is appreciated and noticed!!
